We are a community-driven collaboration dedicated to improving health equity in Wyandotte County, Kansas.

Our mission is to identify and address the root causes of health disparities in our community, and to work in solidarity with other organizations pursuing health equity in Wyandotte County.

We believe that everyone has the right to good health, and that everyone should have the same opportunity to achieve it. We strive to build capacity, develop partnerships, and support other community partners in our efforts to achieve better public health outcomes.

  • The Wyandotte County Health Equity Task Force (HETF) is working together to make COVID resources - including testing, vaccines, and air filtration - more accessible in communities with the highest needs.

  • The HETF includes community and health leaders from Wyandotte County that launched at the start of the pandemic. The HETF is organized through regular meetings and collaborates with the Wyandotte County Health Department.

  • The HETF has organized since April, 2020 to respond to the COVID pandemic. Moving forward, the HETF has identified the following four areas of focus to advance health equity in Wyandotte County:
